The Simpsons, even after 22 seasons, still knows how to bring on the spoofs and last night's mockery of the NFL is no different. They take on the idea of modern corporate stadiums that cost in the high millions to low billions to build. Historical stadiums like Lambeau Field and Fenway Park are dying out and being replaced by massive and expensive ones. The Simpsons specifically target Cowboys Stadium aka The Dallas Death Star.
My personal favorite part as a Miami Dolphins fan, is the Dolphin smacking around the Panther in the Mascot Zoo.
Speaking of the NFL and their current lockout, I believe there will be a season and it will be sorted out by the summer. There is way too much money to lose if there were no season, as well as the popularity. It is the dominant sport in the United States, and they risk losing some of that. Can anyone really picture no Super Bowl Sunday in Feburary?
Take a spin in a time suck of all things Pop Culture. TV, Music, Movies, Sports, Games, other shit!

U2's Zoo TV Tour: Bring It Back!
Okay, it's obviously not going to happen, but it would be amazing to go to to U2's 1992/1993 Zoo TV Tour. There really hasn't been anything like it since then. I wish I could be able to go see it, and a short re-done Zoo TV tour would be nice to see now. Of course, it won't happen, but if any concert tour setup/idea were to be brought back, Zoo TV would be the one to see. I wish more concerts would be more creative.
For those who don't know the idea of the show was part satire on TV, the media, and pop culture. TV monitors surrounded the stage. It's best to just watch footage.
YouTube is the next best thing, and there are tons of videos posted on there of the tour and the "Outside Broadcasts."

Parks and Recreation & Other Funny Things
NBCs Parks and Recreation, starring SNL alum Amy Poehler, has been one of the smartest and funniest shows on TV, especially the current 3rd season. The three show punch of Parks & Recreation, The Office, and 30 Rock may not have the ratings of Friends and Seinfeld, but all three shows pack the laughs and interesting characters.
This weeks Parks & Recreation finally gave us the Harvest Festival that they've been planning. It was my favorite episode so far, mainly due to some small things, like the Festival appearance of "Larry Bird's 84 year old Aunt Tilda Bird" signing autographs, and the Pawnee star mini horse Li'l Sebastian. Another favorite was a spoof of the Taiwanese animation videos:
Check out the first season if you've never seen it.
And some randomness, but here is the exclusive new Lady GaGa music video. She's really outdone herself this time, and got out there with the people and has some great ice skating technique:

Celebrity Meltdowns and Charlie Sheen
Charlie Sheen, Mel Gibson, Lindsay Lohan, Tiger Woods, Britney Spears. The list goes on for infamous celebrity meltdowns that seem to take control of headlines. My theory for the fascination with them is that people love to see other people's drama/issues because it makes us feel better about ourselves and seem more normal. And makes people laugh. I wonder who the next one will be once everyone gets bored with Charlie Sheen. Probably someone who needs the publicity for a career boost.
Speaking of Charlie Sheen, his Live tour called "Charlie Sheen LIVE: My Violent Torpedo of Truth/Defeat is Not an Option," sold out in just a few minutes in Detroit and Chicago. He doesn't seem so crazy after all, people are eating it up. I'm not convinced he is crazy or on drugs, at least not all the time. He definitely knows what he's doing and how to milk this. He's also getting paid for certain things that are used as ads that he posts on his twitter in between the crazy/funny stuff.

ESPN Rock Band March Madness
In honor of March Madness in College Basketball, ESPN is having one for Rock Bands at this fun little time wasting link where the fans vote for their favorite bands to move on in the tournament. There are 64 bands so it's too many to list here, but the four "#1 seeds" are fittingly The Beatles, U2, The Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin. Some of the others include Aerosmith, The White Stripes, The Jackson 5, Bon Jovi, Nirvana, Queen, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Pink Floyd and a whole bunch more.
On a side note, Creed as of this writing has 9% to The Beatles' 91%. There are actually 9% who would pick them over The Beatles? Scary. My prediction for the final would be The Beatles and either Led Zeppelin or U2. Beatles for the win either way.
So if you don't want Nickelback to beat Led Zeppelin, go vote.
U2 & The Beatles: Possible Final?

The Dark Knight Rises Rumors
The Dark Knight Rises is one of the most anticipated movie sequels ever and rumors are always swirling. Badassdigest.com has some potential spoilers/rumors about what the plot of the film could follow. Here is what Badass Digest says:
"As she herself confirmed, Anne Hathaway will be Catwoman in the movie. I can’t tell you what role she has in the beginning, but by the end of the story Catwoman isn’t a villain but rather an ally of Batman. And who are they teaming up to take out? The League of Shadows. Headed by Talia Al’Ghul. With Bane, who is her muscle/possible love interest. And with Joseph Gordon-Levitt in tow. Is he playing Black Mask? My source didn’t know, but did know that Levitt is certainly an antagonist and involved with the League of Shadows."
It seems to make sense, and this rumor may be right on some basic things, but probably not 100%. It connects the film to the first Christopher Nolan Batman movie. Marion Cotillard will be in it, but her role has not been announced, and all the rumors have pointed to Talia, daughter of the villain from the first Nolan film, Batman Begins. If this isn't true, then it's a pretty good guess. It's worth noting that the website has been correct on certain rumors in the past.
